Education institutions today are obsessed with "employability skills", pushing students to meet outdated benchmarks for a workforce that no longer exists. This fixation misses the mark entirely. In South Africa, the land of my birth, millions of promising and talented young people identify as being “unemployed”, tragically associating this status with failure. Society has ingrained in them the belief that success is either being employed or becoming an entrepreneur.  However,
